Jesus has really Big Ears

Hello,

It's been way to long since I've posted. I kinda got sidetracked with life and kids and marraige and the other stuff that goes along with life and kids and marraige. Back in April Matthew scared us with a weird virus that we are thinking was mono. Anyways his bloodwork was all screwy and it really, really, REALLY scared me. His bloodwork went back to normal after a few weeks and we are moving on. Thank you Jesus!!! My little man, Brennan is starting kindergarten this year. Yikes, he is so very sweet and niaeve. I told my hubbie that i wish i could just keep him home. Shelter him. Let him stay the sweet innocent little boy that i adore. I know that's not an option. So, i have bought him his uniforms, gathered the shots records, all the things you do. I will miss him during the day. All of his sweet little gifts that he so eagerly gives me all day long( He is picking me a "pop-flower" as i type this.) Pop Flower is a bud off of our crype myrtle tree. if you pick it before it blooms it is a ball. You squeeze it and out pops your flower. Hince, pop-flower.

Breenan's words not mine.

We were driving down the road to my mom's the other day and from the backseat i heard...
Breenan ~Momma, can Jesus hear me when i talk to him.
Me~ Yep, he sure can
Brennan~ why doesn't he talk back to me??
Me~ thinking of the right answer...
Corey~ He kinda talks to us through actions.
Me~ Yeah, that sounds good. He always hears you, he will talk to your heart Breenan.
Sam~ Your supposed to close you eyes and talk to him in your head not out loud Brennan.
Me~ No Sam, you can talk to Jesus however you want. You can talk to him when you're riding in the car and that is just fine.
Brennan~ yep, Mom, I sure can, cause Jesus hears me Whenever i talk to him. Cause Jesus has Really Big Ears!!!

He is sooo right. Jesus does have really big ears. He hears us all the time. No matter what we bring to him, Jesus hears us. I love you Breenan!! I love your innocence and your sweet, sweet heart. You are truly a blessing to me and to everyone you meet.

A day a the park

Today me and the boys went to meet my best friend Paige and her girls at the park. It was nice and relaxing. I love to hang out with Paige. We've been friends since the fifth grade. A long, long time. She like my sister. We have a great time when we get together. This is Paige's middle child. She watched Mrs. Lola the whole time we were there. She had a blast. All the little kids followed her around looking a Lola bug.

Matt did Alot of this while at the park, he ran away from his brother Samuel the whole time we were there. Sam was so sweet trying to keep him close by. Matt had different plans. This picture is so sweet. I don't get to see things like this very much at my house. I was so glad i got a picture of it.

Matthew really enjoyed the swing until his brother came around, is that the look of fear??

Matt before Brennan came to "push" him

I Heart Faces

I Heart Faces Entry- Spring/Easter entry Above
The picture above is my entry for this week's I heart faces
Contest. I didn't know how to remove the second photo below,
I hope it still counts. http://iheartfaces.blogspot.com/ This is
the link. It's a great site, go check it out!

This is my Godchild Haley. She is So unique, So free spirited. I love this about her. She reminds me of a Flower Child. The world today is so worried about the "Norm" and how to be the "Norm." I wish everyone could be more like Haley. Do your own thing. Do what makes YOU happy. YOU are not the "Norm" Haley, and that is what make you Beautiful! Peace out Girl :)

Operation Easter Bunny ( COMPLETE )

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

My Son Thinks a different Easter Bunny must have passed this year.It was the funniest thing to hear. He looked at me so seriously and said "momma, i think we had a different Easter Bunny this year." "Yeah", he said. "I didn't get a whole lot of stuff and he didn't bring a movie pass". I tried to explain that he should be glad that he received anything. He will turn eight this July and he is so hilarious. Last year they received movie passes. This year the Easter Bunny decided to stay up till 1:00 am making beautiful glitter eggs. My husband said the Easter Bunny was being an over achiever, which the Eater Bunny tends to do in situations like these. Well, They didn't even notice the beautiful Glitter Eggs. I even had to point out how beautiful they were." Oh yeah", they said scrambling through looking for their movie passes. NO Movie Passes. I guess next year we'll skip the glitter and hop on over to cinemark. Operation Easter Bunny -Mission Accomplished!!

Gone Fishing

Both of my kids wouldn't look at the camera, they were to scared to take their eyes off of the fish. They caught allot of brims but we were really there for the Big Ole Catfish.....
Speaking of Big Ole CatfishThis place is so cool.It is ran by the Mennonites a couple of towns away. Here is the sign below. You just drive around and park along side the catfish pond of your choice. Then get to fishing! You bring them in and weigh them when your done and you have the option to get them clean and filleted if you'd like. All you do is bring them home and fry them up. YUM!!

This is my just turned teenage son. God Help Me!!! Mr. Attitude. A little aggravated that i want a picture and that he hasn't been catching any fish. Classic!!

Oh wait there is Mr. Attitude again, Front view.. Look familiar, um Yep!!!

Oldest Son

Youngest Son

Matthew was either locked in his stroller or Blake and I would take turns walking with him to keep him happy. He liked taking the fishing pole and splashing the water with it. Whatever floats your boat Matthew! I gave him washable markers, snacks ,you name it I tried it. Notice no shoes, no life jacket. By this point it was just trying to catch one more so we could leave.

This is disgusting, but i have to remember i am raising four boys. I can't say that in front of them. I can't be having a bunch of sissies in the house ya know.

This is Blake and Brennan after Brennan caught his first fish. He wouldn't take his eyes off the fish so Here's what i got. So cute and So proud! Love it!

Miss Lola has some new threads...

Oh my, Oh my. I can't help my self. She's so darn cute. I think i am going to have to buy some more clothes for Miss Lola. Me and my hubby have different views on this. He thinks it's extremely ridiculous. I think it's a little ridiculous but not ridiculous enough not to do it. I have four boys i dress. So dressing Miss Lola is as close to dressing a girl as I'm gonna get! I also learned a big lesson when purchasing Miss Lola's new clothes. This is something you do without your husband!! :)

Spring Forward....

The picture below reminds me of little
Butterflies... today after lunch at Nana's i went outside and took pictures of her flowers. She has the most beautiful garden. This is a sneak peak of what is starting to bloom. Alot of things will be blooming soon and i will update when that happens. For now this is what i saw...

Spring Forward ....I just love this time of year. Watching all of the beautiful flowers bloom. It reminds me of God's grace. It never fails. There is a season for everything. I love spring because it reminds us that even after the year brings loss and disappointment, life goes on. The flowers bloom after the cold days of winter. It encourages me to look for the good. Start new. I am thankful i have a God so great that he forgives me and I can start new. Spring Forward is what I'm going to do!
                                                                                                 Sunday's at Nana's and Poppy's....

It seems like just about every Sunday we go to my mom's for Sunday dinner. My kids look forward to it because ya know there's no place like Nana's. My parent's are great cooks and they usually invite the whole family to eat. My kids get to play with their cousins, which they love. I hope you enjoyed the pics of the garden, there will be more to come. Remember Spring Forward!!

Puppy Love

Introducing Miss Lola. Isn't she adorable! She is such a sweet puppy and the kids love her. A little to much. Let's just say i am her body guard right now. Once we get past the whining at night and the kennel training it'll be great. I bought her first sweater last night. So, So cute. It's nice to have another girl in the house. I know she's a dog! but ya know what, We won't tell her that :)Do you have a dog? If so, what kind and how was your training process? Anybody have any house training tips? Send them my way!

Loss is never easy

On sunday my husband's grandfather passed away. It was sudden and unexpected. Loss is never ever easy. It is hard to say goodbye to people you love. You always blame yourself for the things you didn't do. The things you could've, should've, would've done. One thing i can say is that he will be truly missed. He was like a Father to my husband, and that will leave a void for sure. Make sure to tell the people you love how much they mean to you. You never know what the next minute holds. I will never forget PawPaw Tom. We miss him already.

Finished home project

I had to write a post about my little project i completed yesterday. It's so nice to complete something and it just turned out so darn cute. First i found this Vinyl Lettering at Hobby Lobby (It goes on 50% off with wall art) Make each day... your Masterpiece.
I thought this saying was appropriate because it is going in the kids hall. Next i found the coolest frames, they are scrapbook frames, made for displaying your scrapbook pages. These were also on 50% off with frames. The scrapbook frames gave me the idea of scrapbook paper(also half off) to fill the frames. I just found the colors i was looking for and picked out a few coordinating papers. Anyways, this is my finished project at the top. I say it's completed but i plan to put a black and white 5 by 7 photo of my kids in the frames. I'm just going to place them where i like in the frame. I'll post a pic of that when I'm done.

One little monkey jumping on the bed

I have to post these pictures of Mattie jumping on his bed. Well I have to admit, i kinda let him do it. I even encouraged him to do it. Bad mom, I know. Oh well, i got some good pics of him doing it.(One is brighter than the other thanks to photoshop) He is going to be two in June and you know what, it's just cute right now. So i won't tell my other kids about this because you know it's not to cute when your seven year old or thirteen year old does it. Well that's a whole other story. Anyways here is to one little monkey jumping on the bed. I love you Mattie poo!!

With a face like that

How can you get mad at a face like that?? I know all you stay at home moms know what I'm talking about. You go to the other room to do whatever it is that you need to do, knowing your leaving things to be done in the room with the little people. ya know the little people who are clones of you and your darling hubbie. The ones with the sweetest little faces that ya love sooo much. Well, I returned to the kitchen after leaving for a few minutes to switch out the wash and here are a few pictures showing what i returned to. How can you get mad at someone with a face like that? By the way, that wasn't washable markers.

New to blogging....here it goes!

This is my first attempt at blogging. For many months i have looked at many blogs, some i go to daily cause i have to check on people, ya know what I'm talking about? I am a mom to four growing boys. They are growing way to fast. It seems like yesterday I was praying for the family I wanted so badly. You see I went five years wondering if i would ever have a family outside of my husband and myself. We went through years of infertility treatments, several miscarriages, and just a lot of heartache. Ultimately we have been blessed with six children. We have went through a successful adoption, successful in-vitro fertilization, twice. did i mention we are blessed? We have went through getting pregnant without the help of medical doctors. We were blessed to get pregnant with identical twin girls. Olivia Grace and Emily Claire. I lost them during my fifth month of pregnancy. They were mono amniotic twins, which means they shared a amniotic sac. They passed away due to a cord accident. Although they are not with us, they are always and forever in our hearts. I always wanted a daughter. God gave me two of them and they are waiting for us in heaven. I have relied on God to get me through all of it. The happy times, the hard times, all of it. I am hoping to use this blog as a diary of my life. I am hoping that one day my boys will be able to see what my life was like while raising them. Wish me luck!
